Upcoming City Council Meeting: Sept. 22, 2025

September 19, 2025

The next City Council meeting is Monday, September 22, at 7:00 PM. We’re sharing a preview of the meeting, but you can view the full agenda and packet at berkleymi.gov/councilagendasminutes.

The evening will begin with a work session at 5:30 PM, located in the second-floor conference room of our Public Safety building at 2395 12 Mile. The topic of this meeting is reviewing the Payment In Lieu Of Taxes (PILOT) application received by The Columbia Berkley. Work sessions are open to the public, but not recorded or broadcast, and no formal decisions are made at these meetings.

At the regular meeting, City Council will consider approving the Downtown Development Authority’s annual Monster Mash Block Party on October 25, and authorizing the road closure of Coolidge on that date. Council will also consider authorizing City Manager VanVleck to sign the Secondary Manufacturers Opioid Settlement Form, which will help determine if the settlement can move forward, and will provide Berkley with a small percentage of those funds to be placed into the City’s opioid fund.
