Upcoming City Council Meeting: April 7

April 04, 2025

The next City Council meeting is Monday, April 7, at 7:00 PM.

We’re sharing a preview of the meeting, but you can view the full agenda and packet by clicking here.

The evening will begin with a Work Session meeting at 6 PM in the second-floor conference room of the Public Safety building about our recently completed facilities study. Work Sessions are informal, discussion-focused meetings where Council has the opportunity to dive deep into important topics and get thorough briefings from staff before any formal actions are taken. While work sessions don't include votes and are not recorded or broadcast, they're open to all community members who'd like to observe these valuable planning conversations.

The regular meeting will start at 7 PM in Council Chambers, and will be streamed live on our YouTube channel and on WBRK. The main topic of the meeting is a matter of authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract between SMART and the City for the administration of Municipal Credit and Community Credit funds for fiscal year 2025. These funds from SMART help offset the cost of our senior transportation program, available to help residents over the age of 50 get to and from appointments, stores, and more. More information about the SMART senior transportation program is available by clicking here.
