Upcoming City Council Meeting: April 21, 2025

April 17, 2025

The next City Council meeting is Monday, April 21, at 7:00 PM.

We’re sharing a preview of the meeting, but you can view the full agenda and packet by clicking here.

The evening will begin with a Work Session meeting at 6 PM in the second-floor conference room of the Public Safety building to continue a discussion about PILOT Workforce Housing opportunities. Work Sessions are informal, discussion-focused meetings where Council receives thorough briefings from staff about important topics before any formal actions are taken. While work sessions don't include votes and are not recorded or broadcast, they're open to all community members who'd like to observe these valuable planning conversations.

The regular meeting will start at 7 PM in Council Chambers, and will be streamed live on our YouTube channel and on WBRK. This meeting includes a matter of approving a request for proposals for City attorney services and a matter of authorizing staff to publish a notice for the public hearing regarding the proposed operating budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2025-2026.

The request for proposals is a best practice update, as our current contract with Hafeli, Staran & Christ, P.C. has expired, and we have been working under the provision in the contract that allows us to continue the relationship on a month-to-month basis.

The budget hearing is proposed to take place during the regular Council meeting on May 19. Budget work sessions will take place before the public hearing, on April 28 and 29, starting at 6:00 in the Public Safety Conference Room. The budget work sessions are open to the public but not broadcast or livestreamed. The draft budget will be published on our website on April 22.
