Economic Development Strategy in Development

City Council authorized City Manager VanVleck to enter into an agreement with Better City LLC to develop an economic development strategy. This was a budgeted and planned expense, and part of the City’s adopted Strategic Plan.

License Agreement for Municipal Parking

Council approved a lease agreement for municipal parking on parcels 04-25-07-455-033 and 04-25-07-455-032, located at the Berkley Theater. The property owner, City staff, and our City attorney worked together to draft a license agreement allowing for public use of the lot in exchange for City-provided maintenance, including snow removal and suspension of property taxes and stormwater/sewer charges.

Select Waiver of Attorney-Client Privilege

Council met in a closed session before returning to adjourn the regular meeting. In the closed session, they elected to waive attorney-client privilege for communication dated December 10th, 2025, and supplemental communication dated December 29th, 2025, from special counsel Angela Mannarino regarding an ethics complaint. This material will be included in the packet for the next regular meeting on January 26.
