On April 15, the Berkley Department of Public Safety apprehended a suspect who had a felony warrant for his arrest.

Officers first encountered him in a car on Phillips and approached him. The suspect then resisted arrest and fled on foot into the neighborhood. The Berkley Schools were immediately notified, and a coordinated response between Berkley DPS and neighboring Public Safety departments quickly ensued. The suspect was successfully arrested after being tracked by a K-9 unit.
