Historical Committee

What is the Historical Committee?

The Historical Committee members serve as the preservers of historical artifacts that are specific to the City of Berkley. Committee members recommend and implement various approaches to educate residents about the city's history through educational and cultural activities. The Historical Museum is located within City Hall, 3338 Coolidge Highway.

About the Historical Museum
The Berkley Historical Museum is located in the old Fire Hall at City Hall at 3338 Coolidge Highway. The original Fire Hall was dedicated on March 10, 1928, and received designation as a Historic Site from the State of Michigan in 1988.

The museum was established in 1993 and is administered by the Berkley Historical Committee. The museum displays memorabilia from the city archives and items contributed by local residents. Every year at Christmas, the museum features a holiday-themed display.

HOURS

  • Wednesdays: 10 AM - 1 PM
  • Sundays: 2 PM - 4 PM
    • Please Note: We are closed on holidays

They are $15.00 each.

Where Can I Purchase?
These can be purchased at the Berkley Historical Museum, the Public Library, and at the City Clerk's Office during normal business hours.
 

Need to ship? Mugs can be ordered for shipping with a $6.00 P & H fee.
