Employee Assistance Program

Berkley's

EAP

Another benefit offered by the City of Berkley is the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).  The EAP  provider is HelpNet and services are available for eligible full-time employees and their dependents.

An EAP is a work-based intervention program designed to identify and assist employees in resolving personal matters (e.g., marital, financial, emotional; family issues; substance/alcohol abuse) that may adversely affect employee performance.  Services are provided by a master's level, fully credentialed therapist with multiple years of experience. The therapist's role is to:

  • Listen fully without judgment
  • Help you find solutions
  • Encourage your progress
  • Protect your confidentiality

HelpNet also offers online seminars and articles that provide helpful information on general "life" topics. The seminars and articles,  available on demand, are just a click away.
