EVENT DETAILS:

 

For more than 25 years, the Berkley CruiseFest has brought car enthusiasts of all ages to Downtown Berkley for a summer evening filled with vintage automobiles, delicious food, and community connection on 12 Mile.

With a variety of activities planned after the parade, this free event has something for everyone! This year’s lineup includes:

  • Classic Car Parade at 6:30 PM, traveling west on 12 Mile from Woodward Ave. to Ellwood Ave.

  • Outdoor screening of “A Goofy Movie” starting at 7:30 PM, in front of the Neighbor’s Shoppe at 2833 12 Mile.

  • Live music from Bandwagon starting at 7:30 PM, located at the corner of Robina Ave. and 12 Mile.

  • Dance party with the Berkley/Huntington Woods/Oak Park Tri-Community Coalition starting at 7:30 PM, located on Griffith Ave., North of 12 Mile Rd.

  • Kids area, selfie station, and soft seating provided by IKEA, located at 12 Mile and Wakefield Rd. Join or show your IKEA Family Card for a chance to spin a prize wheel for a free gift!

ROAD CLOSURE DETAILS: 

  • 12 Mile Road will be closed from Woodward to Greenfield and Coolidge will be closed at 12 Mile Road beginning at 6 PM. The CruiseFest Classic Car Parade will begin at 6:30 PM (heading westbound, starting at Woodward and ending at Greenfield). 
  • Following the parade, 12 Mile Road from Woodward to Coolidge and the intersection of 12 Mile Road and Coolidge will reopen once the end of the parade has crossed Coolidge (approximately 8 PM). 
  • 12 Mile Road will remain closed from Coolidge to Buckingham (and all side streets between Coolidge and Buckingham at 12 Mile Road) until approximately midnight for the CruiseFest event festivities.

PARADE ROUTE DETAILS:

 

The Classic Car Parade will travel down 12 Mile from Woodward to Ellwood starting at 6:30 PM. During the parade, there will be temporary traffic restrictions to help everything move smoothly. These restrictions are for the duration of the parade only, and will not impact the rest of the evening:

  • Cars cannot turn off of Greenfield onto Edwards or Morrison
  • Cars cannot park on the East side of Ellwood
