Dorothea Pocket Park Pilot
June 14-July 19,
2025
We’re planning something exciting for June and July: the dead-end of Dorothea Road between Franklin and Catalpa will be closed to traffic from June 14 to July 19 as we temporarily transform it into a pocket park for residents and visitors of all ages!
Through this activation, we hope to gain an understanding of how the space is used and the value it could bring as a permanent location. Pocket parks are specifically noted as desirable in our Parks and Recreation Master Plan, our DDA’s Downtown Design Plan, and our City-wide Master Plan, so this period will serve as a pilot as we gather your feedback. If you've visited the pocket park, please fill out the brief survey below to share your experience!
The pocket park activation will feature a month of programs put on by our community, for our community. Check back often as more details are still being added!
All events are located at Coolidge and Dorothea, next to Bombshell Treat Bar in Downtown Berkley.
Be sure to follow our Facebook page to stay up-to-date!
