Final Water Bill

Final water bills are calculated using the inside meter reading. Public Works staff will generate a final (courtesy) statement and send it to the respective party. To obtain a final water bill reading, you have two options to start this process:

1. Read the top of the meter dial, call Public Works, and read all the digits including zero.

2.Take a picture of the meter dial, making sure the top is visible in the photo. Then, attach the picture to an email and send it to publicworks@berkleymi.gov.

Water meters are located inside. If the house or building has a basement, the water meter is usually located along the wall that is facing the street, about shin high. If there is no basement, the water meter is typically located in the utility room or closet, or underneath the kitchen sink area.
